“exremism” ® us UPDATED

Back in March, we ran the post below in response to the nutball who was advocating violence against Democratic headquarters, Sarah Palin‘s use of crosshairs on a map over the “districts” of twenty Democratic congressmen she wanted to see removed from office, and all the psycho-babble that flows from Right Wing lunatics like Limbaugh and Beck.  At the end of the article, we  asked this question:

So how far do Americans let these sociopaths go?
You know the answer to that as well as I do; somebody must die a senseless death at the hands of one of these intraspecies predators before we can do a fucking thing. You know, like issue a strongly worded condemnation of domestic terrorism, before looking back to the future.  Yep, are hands are tied.  Tied with the sort of unbreakable dental floss of “liberal” stupidity that can never figure out when enough insanity is really enough.

Well those senseless deaths have happened, and now even a few stupid people realize the line has been crossed— again.

Keith is right.  Our original posting included depictions of Palin, Bachmann, Beck, and Limbaugh in crosshair gunsights, and identified these graphic images as porno-graphic—  in an effort to point out how wrong political dialogue is that uses the metaphor of gun violence; how it feels to be threatened “metaphorically” with a violent death.

A gun sight is a visual metaphor for shooting something or someone to death. When you put it over the district of  a member of our elected government, when you put a person’s face in it, you are suggesting that they be killed, pure and simple.  We identified our use of the graphics as “porno-graphic,” as indeed they are.  But already the apologists are bleating out their denials. Rebecca Mansour, Palin‘s Tweet brain, has been claiming there’s no connection between their use of crosshairs on their map targeting Giffords and 19 others, and that it’s all “a misunderstanding.”

Republican Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, blamed the press for even talking about the linkBut it was Palin herself who referred to the map as her “bullseye” list in another tweet, bragging about her 18 for 20 success rate;  now Mansour claims “it never occurred to us that anybody would consider it violent” and called any attempts to politicize the Arizona tragedy “repulsive.” No;  what is “repulsive” is pretending a woman who so publicly identifies herself with high powered rifles sporting scopes, and therefore crosshair gunsights, is trying to distance herself from that linkage now that the unspeakable has happened.

Yes, Keith Olbermann is right, the dialogue rhetoric needs to be toned down and respectful of all Americans.  But we also need to develop a new sense of moral indignation and a courage of will to act against those who senselessly endanger other Americans with the rhetoric of hate and violence, or any other ignorant agitators— just like Limbaugh, Beck, Bachmann, and Palin.  And they need to be prosecuted when innocent people lose their lives behind their criminal viciousness.

Moral sentients shouldn’t be surprised that correct spelling isn’t all that important to the amoral sociopaths among us, who only use words as an after-thought;  preferring the magniloquence of bricks, bullets, and other projectiles to get their messages out to the population at large. “Exremism,” then,  as Rachel pointed out, is a misspelling of “extremism,” just a sociopath’s 7th grade attempt at hand-written communication with a brick attached.

There have always been an inordinate number of sociopaths in America. Currently, most of them also self-identify as “Republicans”:

Psychopathy is a personality disorder characterized by an abnormal lack of empathy combined with strongly amoral conduct, masked by an ability to appear outwardly normal. Neither psychopathy, nor the similar concept of sociopathy, are nowadays defined in international diagnostic manuals, which instead describe a category of antisocial/dissocial personality disorder. However, researcher Robert Hare, whose Hare Psychopathy Checklist is widely used, describes psychopaths as “intraspecies predators” as does Simon.  Elsewhere Hare and others write that psychopaths “use charisma, manipulation, intimidation, sexual intercourse and violence” to control others and to satisfy their own needs. Hare states that: “Lacking in conscience and empathy, they take what they want and do as they please, violating social norms and expectations without guilt or remorse.”  He previously stated that: “What is missing, in other words, are the very qualities that allow a human being to live in social harmony.”

According to Hare, psychopaths are glib and superficially charming, and many psychopaths are excellent mimics of normal human emotion; some psychopaths can blend in, undetected, in a variety of surroundings, including corporate environments. [See: Fox News]  According to some, there is neither a cure nor any effective treatment for psychopathy;  there are few medications that can instill empathy, while psychopaths who undergo traditional talk therapy only become more adept at manipulating others. — Wikipedia

Is this merely “cute,” as Glenn Beck would say, or is this sociopathic and seditious?

Sedition is the stirring up of rebellion against the government in power. Treason is the violation of allegiance to one’s sovereign or state, giving aid to enemies, or levying war against one’s state.  Sedition is encouraging one’s fellow citizens to rebel against their state, whereas treason is actually betraying one’s country by aiding and abetting another state. Sedition laws somewhat equate to terrorism and public order laws. —Wikipedia

There are more than a one hundred different definitions of Terrorism floating around out there.  In that sense, Terrorism is like pornography;  it can’t be accurately defined— but you know it when you see it:

UPDATED:  Originally this graphic and the three below it held pictures of Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh in these crosshairs; they were identified as examples of porno-graphic imagery; and now that the line of insanity has been crossed in the Giffords shootings, we’re removing the examples— of just how ugly it is for anyone to use them as political metaphor.

Why send them [Bachmann] to “re-education camps” when there’s no cure?

And this chickenshit seditionist [Beck]; why not cap a traitor for Christ, eh?

[Limbaugh]  Is “Lets Cleanup Our Airwaves”—  Just a public service announcement?

There’s no one in the U.S. government with the balls to arrest these sociopathic fuctards.  But does that make it alright then if these cross hair graphics find their way onto stickers, which find there way onto every fucking door to every fucking Republican headquarters in every fucking city in America?  Just wondering.

As fat-ass sociopath Mike Vanderboegh says, “…you need to be forming neighborhood defense organizations, you need to be looking to your larders, you need to be looking to your arsenals, [You do have an “arsnenal, don’t you, citizen?] you need to be looking to your physical fitness, you need to be looking to your neighbors, and who can be counted on… [to um, execute your neighbors who disagree with you? Assassinate their children so they’ll see things your way?] …and how do you build small fire teams and things like that.”

Mm hm.

Well, let’s just hope it’s not our President, shall we?

  1. Thanks, Terry (and I read all of yours),

Turns out I come here for my science lessons although maybe it’s philosophy today.

There have always been an inordinate number of sociopaths in America. Currently, most of them also self-identify as “Republicans”:

I see this as the logical culmination of their triumph over women’s freedom of choice, evidenced by the new abortion restrictions agreed to by our representatives in order to buy their votes for something they were dying to vote for all along but couldn’t due to the deep game (enriching their backers in the insurance and drug industries) they were playing against their just-as-indebted counterparts.

Just shows their cleverness in adopting that “kill abortionists” plank of their platform so long ago. It certainly solidified the base.

    Love ya,

    1. Hi Suze, and thank you for reading; I wish a had better time management skills so I could read all yours too…
Their “triumph” over women’s freedom is nothing if not temporary; it’s simply impossible to legislate morality, and Republicans will never learn that simple truth, and neither will the legions of RWNJs that have already doomed the Repugs to extinction. There’s no turning back for the arrogant, morally superior hypocrites who are now adrift on a ideological sea of insanity.
      They won’t be missed.

  2. something really bad is going to happen, and all the wingnuts will twist their hankies as they stare wide-eyed into the tv cameras and condemn the evil-doers (while they blame the democrats for not leaving them a choice).

  3. Seeing Eye Chick

Seriously sick fucks that is for sure.
The weird thing is the assumption these people make, that only reich wingers are armed.

I have found posts online that do more than suggest otherwise. And what disturbs me about this whole thing, is do they realize, these sociopathic fuctards, that they are targeting people and families? That innocent children and others not involved in this could be shot and wounded or killed?

But then I remember, oh yea, they have no fucking souls, so there is no point in trying to reason with them.

    1. Hi Chick,
But, but, but, when a fuctard feels a deadly threat from the government— real or imagined, butt gas or indigestion— they’re sure they have the right to kill whomever they please.
You’re right, no souls, no reason; I keep reminding that it is impossible to defeat an ignorant person in an argument; but.
I hope they enjoy their incarceration.
