Propagandee
CNN has just announced a new policy that they will no longer book radio talk show hosts for commentary. Given that right wing hate radio has 90% of the programming, that will hurt progressives disproportionately.
The reason: “Too predictable.” As if the unending parade of political consultants they regularly book aren’t.
At least talk radio hosts of whatever stripe are in daily contact with the masses and don’t have to depend on infrequent polling to know what they are thinking and feeling. And they have to be entertaining to boot.
CNN will be the lesser for it (can’t say poorer because they didn’t pay them). But at least they have people like Lou Dobbs and Bill Bennett on the payroll (both of whom have their own radio shows) to take up the slack.
S.E.C.,
Feel free to take whatever you want from here; just don’t crop, and please link us.
Cheers.
