In a well-neigh limitless universe, the mortal races of our planet, Urantia, stand as the unwitting representatives of the lowest order of intelligent and personal creation. And it is also a solemn and supernal fact that such lowly and material creatures as us are “the sons of God”— the faith children of the Highest Deity in the universe.
Just like mortals on our planet, the mortals of the realms throughout all of time and space differ greatly in their innate abilities and intellectual endowment. Some enjoy environments exceptionally favorable to social advancement and moral progress; others suffer from the lack of almost every human aid to culture and supposed advancement in the arts of civilization. But the possibilities for spiritual progress in the ascension career are equal to all; increasing levels of spiritual insight and cosmic meanings are attained quite independently of all socio-moral and material environments on the evolutionary worlds.
Essentially that means that no matter how Urantia mortals may differ in their intellectual, social, economic, and even moral opportunities and endowments, their spiritual endowment is uniform and unique. Each of us enjoy the same divine presence of the gift from the Father— and we are all equally privileged to seek intimate personal communion with this indwelling spirit of divine origin, and we may all equally choose to accept the uniform spiritual leading of the Indwelling Spirit, or reject it.
If any mortal is wholeheartedly spiritually motivated, unreservedly consecrated to the doing of the Father’s will, then, since such a person is spiritually endowed by the indwelling and divine Spirit, there cannot fail to materialize in that individual’s experience the sublime consciousness of knowing God— and the supernal assurance of surviving for the purpose of finding God— by the progressive experience of becoming more and more like him.
We are spiritually indwelt by an eternal Indwelling Spirit. If any such human mind is sincerely and spiritually motivated, if such a human soul desires to know God and become like him, honestly wants to do the Father’s will, there exists no negative influence of mortal deprivation, nor positive power of possible interference which can prevent such a divinely motivated soul from securely ascending to the shores of Paradise.
Out of his divine free-willness, the Universal Father has given each of us a creature personality. Each one of us have been endowed with a measure of that divine spontaneity of freewill action, which God shares with all who may become his sons and daughters. We belong to a class of human beings who may choose to traverse the universe and find God on Paradise. The Paradise ascent is the supreme adventure of all time— the rugged achievement of eternity. And this supernal adventure should be the supreme study of every mortal man and woman.
Can you comprehend the grandeur of the heights of eternal achievement which are spread out before you? Use your time then, to learn about the divine destiny that can be yours for the choosing. And some day in the far distant future, you will find your self standing on the eternal shores of Paradise.
