Former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum tells it like it is:
Republicans originally thought that Fox worked for us, and now we are discovering we work for Fox.
Do yourself a favor and rent/download the prescient 1997 James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies.
The bad guy, Elliot Carver, runs a billion dollar media empire that makes its money creating and exploiting conflict around the world.
He might as well have been named Rupert Murdoch.
Evil genius, Elliot “Rupert Murdoch ” Carver, from Tomorrow Never Dies
UPDATE: David Frum was fired from the American Enterprise Institute today, for whom he worked for some 7 years.
As the old Yugoslavian proverb has it: Tell the truth– and flee!
“Republicans originally thought that Fox worked for us” – ah, said with such reasty Canadian ex-pat aplomb.
Silly Frum, Fox worked for BushCo – they merely deeded the GOP over to Elliot, er Rupert when they had finished the 8 year run of Big Grift II, Electric Boogaloo so that he could squeeze the last dash of blood out before the Crash- that’s not something one tells the stenographer, er speechwriter in charge of making one look presnidentshal.
