I once pitched a small 12 house subdivision to its council. Per the city’s inclusionary zoning ordinance, a couple of the houses would have to be sold under market to low income buyers. One of the councilwomen, a newbie who was nursing her baby during the meeting, had to turn and ask a fellow council person what inclusionary zoning was– she’d never heard of it.
It’s one thing to have to listen to Teh Stupid, its another having to pay its salary…
