The first meeting got off to a volatile start when Secretary of Defense Robert Gates tried in vain to explain to Vice-President Palin why it is innapropriate for the “First Dude” to be present at Joint Chief staff meetings. . . only to get a folksy lecture on who’s “in charge now,” which began with, “Listen up, Troopers,” and concluded with, “I will fire your disloyal asses!” Click it.
