Barack Obama said in news conference moments ago that “the president has to be able to do more than one thing at a time,” and that it was more important than ever to hold the debate as scheduled.
UPDATE: Is McCain throwing a political “Hail Mary” or just hiding from a public debate? The White House puppet will be speaking to the nation tonight— TEN DAYS after the “crisis” broke— supposedly to say the proposed Bail-Out is close to being resolved. WA PO has Obama over McCain 52% — 42%. (Even Fox Noise shows Obama 45%, McCain 39%.) Meanwhile, if the election were held today, McCain would get the time-out he’s after, only it would be permanent.
